cable span

hello would like a little advice re cable span. have a customer who has had a new shed built 1.5 ft away from detached garage. Garage has own supply circuit (2.5mm SWA via 16amp mcb main house C.U. RCD protected) intending to feed new shed from garage via SWA supported with conduit. My question is reguarding the span. i intend to span at 1.5 ft from the ground between garage and shed, but unsure as to weather this would breach regulations. To add there is obviously no access between the garage and shed.

any advice much appreciated

thankyou for your reply, i think the minimum heights only apply ,as you say if there is a path or walkway.

The only thing I would add is that IF and I say IF there is a likely hood of kids messing with the conduit, use 20mm galv "sleeved" with 25mm galv and then its most unlikely to bend!

or add a length of unistrut with sadles on conduit if its likely to get a lot of abuse

Just cover it in razor wire that will keep the kids off it.

Why not just put the conduit at ground level rather than 18" above it?

It's only going 18" the cable would probably hang for that distance on its own without suffering I'll effects, catenary seems overkill for the distance
