Has anyone done an installation on a roof finished with Cambrian Slate? I should add we will be installing on a new-build roof.

yes. I think you need to use genius roof solutions small flashing kit with it and grind a slot out of the tiles, but can't 100% remember.

I'd suggest they go roof integrated though.

New build roof?
Why would you even think of putting PV on top of it?
Cheaper and better to install an in-roof system. (ANY of them are better than on-roof)
Better looking as well.

We made a policy decision 12 months ago that we won't install on-roof systems on domestic properties any more, made our life a lot easier, and the customers are all so much happier :)

I have been asked to quote a 5.5kw system on a very nice looking slate roof in the west of Ireland. I do not want to have any issues so would you think removing slates and doing integrated is the answer as the weather can be brutal right on the coast. Can you PM me the system you would use? Thanks

Virdian, SolarCentury or GSE, are our preferred solution depending upon the configuration and roof type.
