had a customer call me regards there house. Had a rewire done but has not been finished off and there are some circuits not been put in board. when attending the persons house found that the pervious person has put in a board but only one side of it is rcd protected. this is a tt system. Said all circuits need rcd protecting. the thing is the person cannot get hold of the pervious sparks phone goes dead, tested all circuits so no problems ,any ideas.

If all he has done is the CU change and you can see everything that was done then you should be ok if not its a case of rip it out and start again as you will be taking responsibility for everything including the fact that its all up to 17th edition

Change board for new 17th edition duel rcd and re test and issue EIC for new board with all work tested , then issue cert and part p.

This way you only issue cert for cu change but they get full test

In the time it took to type & download my answer two posts have succinctly responded

Type faster then :D

I sometimes find hitting the "submit" button a couple of times works, especially if its taking a few moments to post.

start again with dual RCD CU,

alternatively if you can convert board to a 17th go for it or use RCBO of circuits on NON protected side??

17th vs RCBO/Conversion probably best for cost wise..!! end of job you have spare CU/breakers/RCD/ISolator in case you need one!! lol :D:D:D

;)
Unfortunately a combination of ham fisted - two finger typing & an alchohol/age addled brain means I am typing at my optimum speed:eek:

Tried it and it does improve download speed
