Hi guys iv have a quick question,
My mum has bought a new house that she plans to move into soon, its empty at the moment and i have access to the floorboards, she has a new mk metal split load consumer unit with two 30ma RCD's, however there is no bonding to gas or water.

Anyways i will take care of the bonding but i also plan on adding 3 new circuits, 1 for smoke alarms, 1 for a CCTV system and 1 for her boiler,
I am a 1st year adult apprentice in Scotland and i have a calibrated MFT, I have done everything i plan on doing at work before including the testing, Am i able to do the above and fill out an EIC or do i need some one else to sign off?

Part P does not apply in Scotland, and no building warrant is required.

Thanks.

Good advice from the guys, I will add that Scotland does not currently reconise Part P, so no issue there.

Thanks for the advice guys, just to update yous I went on Saturday but never got finished, I spent 9 hours running the new cables, fitting the detector base's, and changing all socket and light switchs in the house for new ones.

I didn't get any of the new wiring connected so didn't test it. I will do it when I return.

I did however test the ring i was working on to make sure it was a ring, and also did a Zs on it.
