Hi people
Have a problem at work where there was meant to be two fan units but now their is only one fan unit but there is still two feeds needed as there is two bathrooms and each has its own switch to turn on full boost at the fan unit so am getting a back feed when one is activated!
Can you use diodes on a commercial installation?

Can you use diodes on a commercial installation?

You could use a relay or double pole light switches on each bathroom.

a diode will only prevent back feed on D.C. Lee's post gives you a clue. mess about with D/P switches and /or relays/contactors. draw it out, make it work.

You can use diodes in a commercial installation yes, but in your particular case it would only result in the fan running at half speed at best, or possibly just the fan sitting there trying to turn and burning itself out.
