Can you use a 32 to 13 amp adapter for a coffee machine that is 32 amp?

Have a converted horsebox/coffee unit. The coffee machine is plugged into a 32 amp plug at the back of the machine. The unit has a 32 amp outlet for generator/ hook up. Can I use a 32 amp to 13 amp adapter to plug into mains? Only other things in van are all 13 amp thank you

If the plug came with the machine, then I would say no…. But in the event that someone has fitted the wrong plug….

What is the rating of the coffee machine?

There should be a sticker or plate with the details. It will be in W or kW

If you can’t find it, send a message with the make and model number of the machine, and we can work it out.

Take that value… it should be in thousands. If kW, multiply by 1000 to get to thousands range.

Divide by your mains voltage. In Uk, we take it as 230V, This gives Amps.

Compare this Amps with the supply. Ie, if it’s below 13A, then yes, you can try changing the plug… if over 13, you can’t.

Yes you can, however you will not be able to draw more than 13A in total.
If the coffee mc is rated over 13A you will not be able to use it.
For a better understanding you need to take note off the electrical devices in the van.
They should have a label or rating plate that says what the power rating of each device is.
