Hi all,

Just a quick one I'm a bit unsure of and need your opinions on please!

I am currently working at a pub and they have a walled car parking area outside, they currently have a breeze block wall which is gonna be rendered next week, the customer would like 6 lights along the wall but doesn't want any cabling etc visible do I was gonna cap twin and earth in metal capping horizontally along the wall leaving loops of cable for each light, is this allowed, im a bit unsure??Thoughts please??

Thanks

I guess its ok as long as its high enough that cars wont bash it. Think i would tend to use FP in capping so its earthed sheath though and run in a obvious place in line with the lights.

best to not have T/E into fittings, the glands are designed for round cable, e.g. flex. FP200 would be OK, but i have heard that it's doesn't like UV.

Yeah it will definitely be out the way of cars etc as there is a flower bed in front of wall? I'm right in saying you are allowed to go horizontally??
