caravan hook up

customer requires a electrical supply for a caravan in her garden. the caravan is to be used for camping out in the garden. never done any caravan type installations. do I need a 16a socket with its own rod ? tncs system. any pointers would be great !

If it's TNS then just put s 16A socket on a dedicated circuit with 16A breaker, if TNCS then personally I'd just do the same but apparently you are not meant to do that and bung a rod in.

I would run a 2core SWA to a caravan hook up point drop the TNCS earth at the hookup point by glanding it in to the plastic enclosure and install a rod/rods to gain a reasonable RA value. It is recommended that the earth-fault loop impedance at the plug should not exceed 2 Ohms.
