Hi,

just wondering out loud....

ive got a multimeter and various other bits of test kit, small things like Clamp meters and cable tracers etc.

how do you carry them about? Do you keep them all in separate cases or do you put them all in one bag/ case?

Treat your test equipment with care, and they'll generally reward you by not letting you down and by having confidence in the values they display in use...

yes thats very true, and same goes for all tools. I think what I need to do is get all the test kit out and see how much space I need, it would just be nice to have one container rather than four or five cases, not that they are big, but would be nice to combined them in some way.

My boss has the big festool containers not sure if you can buy foam inserts but can get in various sizes they also have some cool interlock system however quite dear but good quality. Dale

Whatever suits the situation...i have used Pelican cases, with profiled cut-outs....have also used plastic builders buckets, supermarket trolley, and once, three Palestinian kids....

All the above, got my gear to and from...choice lads,choice... :icon12:

i have a veto xxl-f

We got some of these the other day for test kit, well built and reasonable (a lot cheaper than peli cases) Stagg Waterproof Cases

Aye, the title describes these cases as "Waterproof" then further on as "Waterproof style" and that's the difference between these rip offs and the genuine "Peli" article!!

I had the same issue when I was building filightcases - mine were built from birch ply with an ABS or GRP laminate all held together by a custom aluminium extrusion frame. The competition used Far east ply with a pvc covering stapled together and an aluminium angle riveted around it.

From a distance, they looked the same and some folks thought we were overpriced but they soon learned the error of their ways when their cheap purchase dropped to bits after a couple of months.

I had the contract to supply cases to a well known telecoms company whose logo at that time looked like a yellow 7" but lost it to one of these cheap jack merchants, but got it back a year later because of quality issues with the new supplier.
