David Gauke, MP is moaning about plumbers!

Want to write to him?

There you go.

I'm going to stuff him head first down the next filthy wc I find ...

This was my email to him:

Not sure why I called him "Sir" ...

Dear Sir

I am writing to let you know that I earned (as a self employed plumber) about ÂŁ8,000 last year.

I declared EVERY SINGLE PENNY that I earned and have had my accounts cleared by my accountant and await my tax bill.

Many customers, especially the rich, think it is fine to delay payment by a few weeks. This affects cashflow, and is frustrating if you’ve spent well over £1,000 buying materials for that customer. You cannot take the materials you’ve bought out of your customer’s house because the law does not allow you to do that.

I give cash discounts to my customers because that way I know I have the money and I don’t have to worry about whether I’ll be paid for a job or not. Is this morally wrong?

I don’t claim for a second house as I don’t have one but I do dream that one day we’ll be able to afford a new car. A holiday this year would have been great too but the recession has hit my trade and my family can’t afford to go away, especially as my wife has also been redundant for around eight months.

I’m not asking for pity – just don’t tar all of us with the same brush while your energies would be more productive by going for some of the richer people.

if an electrician was to exept cash payments to avoid tax i bet it would only be the odd 50 quid at most as other jobs would have to be notified via part p and we all know thats just a papper trail for tax man .timee and time again these polititions show that they don't live in the real world they caused this recession ime tempted to send them the shirt off my back:rant:

Market traders and taxi drivers could be the next under scrutiny, but, somehow, I doubt it.
they won't touch taxi drivers as they wont want to look racist as most in our area can't speak english it would cost more in translators than they could collect.most would probably be ilegal imigrants so we wouldn't have many taxis left

Because it's easier, it's those doing things correctly, and legally, that they target. Cowboys get away with it, just like most of the 'indians'.

Cheques are going, or were? Now no one is to pay cash. Exactly what form of payment are we to get? Oh electronic transfers that cost me a fortune, into my business account, in charges so we make the banks more money!

Nice of him to assume that no cash job is ever invoiced!

Him and his wife are both solicitors!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They lie for a living!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

Him and his wife (a Corporate Tax Lawyer) are both solicitors!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think he's just shooted his gob off and made a t!t of himself.
He looks like a total twunt as well...

but then , look at it logically... say i get ÂŁ50 cash from a customer for replacing a couple of dodgy socket fronts. ÂŁ5 for the 2 sockets, of which ÂŁ1 is tax. that leaves ÂŁ45. ÂŁ20 goes in the bottomless diesel tank, ÂŁ 14 of that is tax. ÂŁ7 on 20 smokes, ÂŁ5 of which is tax. then i'll unwind with a pint or 2. another ÂŁ3 tax

so, out of the ÂŁ50 charged, ÂŁ23 has gone straight to the treasury to help pay phoney blair and that other idiot that ruined the economy, postulating around europe as if they/ve saved the planet. and i'm left with about a tenner to pay income tax.

wasn't it blair who promised a referendum over european union membership? fair enough, major and the rest must take some responsibility, but it's blair who got us stuck with it.

It was Blair and Brown who said the economy is in safe hands with us until we realised they were racking up the credit card and saying that the banks needed less regulation
that's only because, in bankers, they saw something akin to their own slimy dealings.

i think all polititions should be paid minimum wage for the job they do or nothing at all that might put a few coffers back into the treasury as they caused this mess.
when things improve they could get a realistic wage, they should have a hotel or hostel bought so no more buying houses out of our monney then selling them at a profit.
i wonder how many eaton graduates would go into politics if we took the gravy train from them?

The UK was a full EU member long before Blair came to power.

All politicians make all kinds of promises, especially when on the outside looking in. Are we still that surprised when they fail to deliver?? ..lol!!!

But the real culprits of this world wide recession, is the trading banks and the associated speculators. Pure greed and blatant fraud got us to where we are now. Ironically the only winners, are the very banks and organizations that caused the problems in the first place. Yet to my knowledge, not a single responsible person has been prosecuted, .....rather they have all been progressively rewarded and continue to be rewarded....
