Howdy y'all,

Doing a shed supply (Lets leave PME out of this please!!)

There's no chance of burying the cable whatsoever!.......has to be a catenery wire (only 2 meters max). Does it have to be a certain height? ....I can't see anything in the regs......it will be above reaching distance, but if there is something in the regs can someone tell me where abouts please!

cheers in advance!

as long as whatever is liable to need to pass under the cable, that's all.as far as i know. i would define reach as around 8ft.

Could you not attach a piece of timber to the shed and the house spanning the gap and use this? Maybe attach steel conduit to the timber for mechanical protection. It then would not be a cable spanning two buildings or structures as the shed would then be part of the house as it is attached to the house. Just a thought

a good thought at that, the distance is short enough between house and shed for that to work and be pretty stable. Chees for that mate! gives me something to go on!
