Hi, I need help with my catering van, I am looking to get leisure batteries for my catering van but don't know how many i need or what i need, i currently use a generator but would like to move from that to battery only, we run a fridge which is small and an oven, the oven is at max 2980Watts 220-240V.

Thanks for any help you can give.

each one of these that you add should give you around 2 to 3 hours use with the oven and fridge both on.
you will also need an inverter / charger.
like this.
Hi, thanks for the fast reply, do you know how long it would take to recharge? could i use solar panels to fully recharge these everyday? Thanks

Hi James, honestly I think I could only fit about 3 or 4 of these solar panels on the roof of my trailer, 2980Watts 220-240V is the oven when it is at its max, i will only have the oven on for about 6 hours a day, how many of those batteries do you think I would need? Thanks

Isn't it normally better to use gas for cooking in food trailers?

Going to be expensive using batteries and inverters

To get an accurate estimate of the total battery storage required you need to log what your actual daily usage is. Then add at least 50% for your battery storage requirements.
