Whats the worst that could happen? It trips the fuse?

Tripping a fuse is far from the worst thing that can happen. The worst that could happen when working with electricity is that you or a member of your family receives an electric shock which could be fatal as a result of your mistake or you not noticing a fault which was pre-existing.

So with the light working and been working since i connected is that ok now then or can problems woth wiring sit there and cause a problem later.
 
you mean on the new one? If so yes its fitted to the middle hole. 2 nuetrals/blue in the other and the live/brown in the other.
should be fine. thing is.if a spark had changed the light, he/she would have checked (with a meter) that the circuit had no faults. this is something that a DIYer could not do. however, it'sunlikelythat the circuit has a fault unless someone's been messing around.
