Advice needed,

Removed a ceiling rose and the cables must have been loose as they all popped out. Connected up all the cables apart from the grey cable. My PIR light outside is now not working without this grey cable connected into one of the blocks which is fed off the same switch bank on the wall. I believe the grey cable should go into the live brown block. Any help appreciated.

Hi - unfortunately there are several ways this could've been wired up, sorry.

what in your hand with a screwdriver never .;)test equipment is in order .Is Kentucky chicken near you I mean sparky chick .just wait and her lady ship will be along any moment.:D

I have shown 2 sparky's and both are unsure what that grey cable is for. But like I stated earlier the outside PIR light is not working now so must be linked to that

Was the PIR light ever switched or was it permanently left to its own devices.
