now then, for smoke circuits in houses i have always just included them on an eic with no other certification as most of the time they are fed from a regulary used lighting circuit etc. i have done this for companies i have worked for in the past and nothing has been said. but now that ive started up myself ive been told off the napit man that they are to be certified independantly. i have a green cert book i bought from niceic (as napit dont seem to have certs available to buy???) for this and reads;
certificates of design,installation and commissioning of a fire detection and alrm system of grade B,C,E or F in a dwelling.
but this is only one sheet which has no sched of inspections or test results sheets with it. am i right in thinking you include the details of the circuit and test results on an eic then also issue this in addition? or is this single sheet all that is required?
thanks in advance for any advice on this.

yes you need a {eic] for the wiring

and a fire detection and alarm system in dwellings

Installation and commissioning certificate [fdd]

Half way down on the right it asks for the eci no

Hope it helps gaz
