Discuss Cetification in the Periodic Inspection Reporting & Certification area at ElectriciansForums.net

Paul, (I realise this is a week later)your client isn't likely to know what forms he needs (unless he's a sparky), follow the advice above from Chris (acat), the EIC (inc schedules) is all he will need but as said, you should have contacted the b/c to come and check your work to sign it off.

You should still do this because even though you may end up being Part P quaified you've already completed the work & issued the cert if anything goes down between the time the NIC come & the finishing of the work you may well be liabal.

But if by now you've already been varified by NIC (as this is a wk later) you can re-issue the EIC with a new date as yr work has been varified by your self (hopefully now) a competient person.

Jon.
if you are not registered on a scheme building control must be notified BEFORE any work is started and your EIC should always display the date the work was actually completed ;)

agreed (solo gets a slap on the rist) but unfortunately he didn't inform them; better to take post-active action then none, wouldn't u agree?

His EIC won't ever become valid if he doesn't and didn't quailfy with the NIC but if he's passed the domestic installer thingy then he can issue another EIC performing the same tests or do a PIR dated correctly, nothing doggy there.:p

i would agree, but LABC will have to see his original EIC to sign it off and you cant have 2 different EIC`s for the same work so its bet to stick to the way it should be done. stick this one through LABC as a distress change, use the job to become registered and then notify in the normal way. no need for a PIR then :p
