Hi folks, new to this site and hope everyone is doing fine?

Anyway...I tried posting this to the DIY section but it wouldn't let me. So I hope I am in the right place.

I am trying to create a 4 bulb ((CFL (compact Fluorescent Light)) grow light.

Each bulb is 20w. So over all 80w CF grow light.

I want to connect them together so I only have to plug them into one socket rather than having 4 plugs to deal with. What box would I use for something like this? It doesn't necessarily have to be 4 bulbs, it can be 3 or 5 etc?

Anyway...I hope you're all well.

and thank you in advance,

Alan

Can we forward your IP address to the drug squad ;)... Hmmmm! now i can honestly say i have never seen these lamps used to grow cauliflower or carrots now what could it be? Answers on a post card please!

Ah I see the confusion. The lamps are used for small seedlings. It helps start them in the harsh Feb and March months so they can be ready for planting out 2 months early in April/May...so yes...carrots and cauliflowers do very well under these lamps.

My friend has some of these in his garage is a less than affluent area of Nottingham for his hydroponics for his veg. Had windows in it when he first started which led to the youth of the area hanging around the end of his drive trying to look in. A visit from plod after the helicopter was chasing some car stealing acrobat at night, after showing setup, advised to brick windows up to stop the kids converging there.

please get a spark to wire up the bank of lights for you.
it will be safer in the long run
