Chandelier rod to chain

Hello,

In our dining room we currently have a chandelier that is not in the center of where we have our take and I was hoping to be able to convert it from a Rod to a Chain and move it to where we want it.

Is that possible? I have seen swag kits that do something similar but all of them seem to be setup to plug the might into a power outlet.
