changed door issues with locking and airbag light

Hi i have changed the drivers door on my 59 plate polo. now the door doesnt work on central locking. i changed the lock barrel so it works with the key any ideas why won't work with key fob?
Also airbag light is now on any ideas on this too?

Check all your fuses, you did disconnect the battery before starting work didn’t you!!?
