Changes to Guidance Note 3

M

MFHEng

Guidance Note 3 is about to be re written with AMD1 changes. Are there any other changes or information that any of you would find usefull to be included in it, or changes that would make it more useful .

Please try to be reasonabley specific to an area or topic if you feel any changes or inclusons should be made

Well you could suggest to Richard that the Guides should be published in the same format as the OSG, spiral bound so as to stop them falling apart.
Then there's the discrepancies between the discriptions of an insulation resistance tester on page 38 and ohmeter on page 83.
Also page 19 suggests that it is the inspector that decides the inspection intervals, whereas BS7671 states the designer.

Remember thinking that the protection by barriers section (P42) was a bit vague with regard to the differences between ip2x and ipxxB.

Also nothing said about distinquishing between ip4x and ip xxD (if there is a difference) and yet the questions on this can be quite specific.

Also noticed spin's point when studying for the exam
