We have a a grain store refurb that needs completing , but in order to get a new panel board in on the 400a head we will need e-on to temporally disconnect the supply while the old one is removed and the new one is mounted and retailed .

Has anyone else done this before and if so what sort of cost do you think we are looking at and was it completed in one visit or did they spread it out to its full worth !?

Thanks in advance .

Best way would be to get them to disconnect and connect into an isolator/s (of either their or your provision) on the same visit. You can connect up and energise in your own timescale then, and not be waiting weeks for a reconnection appointment.

I know but i would prefer it to go straight into the panel board and then that saves the cost of a relatively expensive isolator .:juggle2:

Ring them for a quote them. If you are putting the new panel board in place of the old one it sounds like two visits. Make sure you book the two visits at the same time if you can, or they could be weeks apart if they decide to faff you about.
then weigh up the cost of two visits against one visit with an isolator.

You are absolutely right , i suppose i am just putting off the bad news (cost) that i suspect is on its way !

And before anyone chips in with did you not look at the job first , i dropped one on this , OK! :nonod::hanged:
