As the title says changing light because my PIR one stopped working.
On my new light I have a terminal for brown a blue an yellow and green.
The wires coming out from switch is briwb , black, yellow and green and a gray one.
They go to a double switch inside ,one for the light and one for kitchen.
So I wired them up brow to brown .yellow and green to yellow and green.
Then I put the black one to the blue one and left the gray in a block..
Switched the fuse box on and the outside light was on before I switched it on.
I then removed the black from blue and but gray to blue but no light.
Any help appreciated

Unfortunately Kevin you have not understood the function of the wires coming into the old light, and as a result you don't know what wire does what. You need an electrician to come to your property to trace the wiring so that the correct connections can be determined. Next time, don't disconnect anything until a competent person is available to mark the wires with their function. It will cost you more now for the electrician to trace the wiring than if you had paid an electrician to change the light for you. Sorry.
