I just use an Electrical Box Sinker pefect square holes, just have 2 SDS drills to save swapping the bits.....

Never done that, and but some 1900 houses are of the pour any old crap in constructions and you can sometimes hit a big expanse of powder with the odd suspended piece of granite... you need to get the trowel out at that point! I think you need to buy a good brand armeg etc I paid 160 for my set and it never lets me down!

Lump hammer and inch n half scutch. Perfect hole every time.

defo grinder then i scutch out like others said cut lines through the box square and itll just fall apart with a few hits

Easiest way?....Plastic explosive, ha, ha :toetap05: Honesty? Did sodding loads of houses with engineering bricks that wouldn't even take silicon injection damp course fluid. An angle grinder with a diamond cutting disc & an SDS. Dead easy, but the dust is horrendous. So unless the house is being renovated, just use some of the above methods mentioned before this one. All the best!!
