Fair enough, think I could have explained it better, although my boss has decided to replace one with a transporter, when I look to start on my own in the new year I'll be looking at the vivaro or transit, as all rounders I think they'll be the better and more cost effective option.

i've got an 10 plate dispatch(1.6 hdi) and had absolutely no problems with it. It may not be the fastest van in the world but for jobbing around the local area it's great on fuel giving me 40-50mpg. However a friend of mine also has one and has had problems with his suspension, but every type of van out there will have good+bad reviews. In my opinion berlingo sized vans are too small as once you have your tools/drills etc inside most of the room is already taken up leaving you little space for materials but i also found transits to be slightly too big. The dispatch for me offered the perfect size and I think the running costs are easily manageable.

Yeah i have the 1.6 a bit sluggish as i did have a 2.2 vito, but this is alot better on fuel

its a Citroen dispatch, Peugeot Expert and Fiat Scudo, all have the same Engines in them. They are Peugoet engines and regarded as the best by many.

i have the Fiat Scudo 07 plate , happy with it but build quality isnt the best even down to the gaps when you close the doors on it, sounds daft but it does bug me, had a look at my mates Citroen dispatch 12 plate sky van, his is the same you can actually get your finger in the sliding doors and the back doors, shoddy to say the least,

on the plus side its the most comfortable drive i ever been in for a van.

hope this helps

Had the van now since my last post and its spot on. Perfect for motorway driving as its a comfy drive and with a 6 speed gearbox its not screaming its arse off when bombing along. Glad i got the 2.0 though

Pretty good on fuel too.

Panel gaps on mine are fine, just like you'd expect on anything else, all even and normal sizes

Got a 59 plate Despatch 1.6 94,000 miles on clock but I have it serviced all the time, never had a problem, great roomy van if it is a bit slow. Had a vauxhall combo b4 hence change for bigger van

my old company had a few citroen dispatches 57 and 58 plates and there was always problem with turbos going think 1 van had 2 or 3 go he gave up with them in the end just sat down the garage rusting away. then again could of been the drivers but according to the garage common problem?

1.6 engine are the culprits of the turbo failures one reason i didn't go for one 2nd hand.

Main cause is a small engine in terms of cc, operating at high temps to keep emissions low with stupid recommended oil change intervals and using about 3 litres of oil! All this resulting in poor oil flow to the turdo

I've not driven an Expert, but been using a Peugeot Partner recently. It goes like the clappers! I can't believe just how quick the thing is!

I had an Expert and would love another one great for comfort and size and ease of access if its the two side door option. Mine was an ex police van so had seats in the back and I fitted a ramp to the back door for my disabled daughter was a perfect all rounder
