Hi All!

Im doing some self employed work for the first time while im unemployed, can someone tell me how you claim expenses on your end of year assessment?

for example: Liability Insurance, lets just say its £100, how much of that do i claim / get back?

im so clueless to all this and at this point its not worth me getting an accountant.

does anyone have any links to a dummies guid?

Cheers for any help on this! :D

Hi jib.

I know that HMRC hold free seminars that can help on this sort of thing.

Phone and say your enquiring about workshops for Self Assessment.

It's free, takes a couple of hrs and whilst you won't be told how to wrangle stuff it'll make you better informed.
