Clarkson Evans assessment day

Hi all, just been invited to an assessment day by Clarkson Evans for their electrician apprenticeship. Does anyone know what their tests consist of and what should I wear? They have said smart casual but that seems impractical for the practical test they mentioned.

I've heard a lot of negative things about Clarkson Evans and wondering if that's still the case...

Good for you! I’m not here to say about Clarkson Evans don’t really know much about them, but causal wear I say just wear an appropriate hoodie and some jeans/cargos and you should be fine. Not sure about the test but it’s probably just to see where you are with your English and maths I got my initial assessment next week with a training provider I plan on getting an apprenticeship as well. But anyways, Good luck!!!

Reasonable smart jeans and a shirt I'd say, I doubt the practical is going to have you threading conduit or sent into the loft. Not sure if I'd class a hoodie as smart myself, I was gonna say the older generation might frown but to you I probably am the older generation.

Worked for CE briefly and on paper seemed ideal ie given sites and so long as the work was done left to own devices, but the reality involved more BS than that. That was 25 yr ago though, may be different these days.
