Hi, I'm new to this so apologies if the answer is obvious! I'm PAT testing a coffee machine as a class 1 as there's nothing on the label to suggest it's a class 2 but when I test it, it says "no earth". Why could this be?

Thanks, so do I test it as a class 1?These machines often have inaccessible Class I parts and any external metalwork is essentially isolated from any internal electrical parts.
Class 2 sorry!Thanks, so do I test it as a class 1?
Thank you very much for your help! You can't use a Class I test as it will fail assuming your tester is automatic so test as Class II with a note to that fact.
