Click accessories

Anyone use click scolmore gear? My local wholesaler sell it and it is a good price and looks pretty good. Never used it myself so any thoughts?

I generally only use Ashley but the click gear is quite a bit cheaper so may give it a go

Good quality accessories with some unique products and features that make the job easier. I don't think you'll have any regrets buying and installing Click Scolmore products mate.

Only used the click deco range. It's cracking stuff, lovely finish on the chrome plates and the switches and dimmers can be mixed and matched on the same plates.

I use it and I find it very good. Not had a problem with any of their gear.

I use it as a preference; great ideas, good reliability and cracking price compared with others of similar quality. Even the 'normal' stuff is in fact modular/grid, so you can take apart an ordinary 2G lightswitch and split it up as you need - so add a fuse carrier and you've got an FSU, for example.

+1 for the grid range. Attaching switches, dimmers, isolators, bt, hdmi etc etc to the faceplate itself is a much better idea than playing around with multiple grids that are a pain in the arse to line up.

used the deco sockets on a job today, just a faceplate change. very nice but tight for cables in a 25mm back box. need to strip sheaths right back to cable entry hole.

The terminal screws on the sockets are huge, no chance of any cable coming loose etc. Also screws have a nice deep slot in them so its almost impossible to round them off.

Theit Mode range of socket and switches look almost identical to MK logic at half the price almost

Only just started offering it to customers. After getting lots of requests for different metal finishes and spending too much time hunting around for alternatives I decided to stick with the Deco and Define ranges as 'up market' alternative to standard MK accessories. I procured a couple of sample boards, which saves a lot of time when customer can't make up mind from catalogues.

So far the experience has been positive, except with dimmers, where the quality of the modules they use seems variable.

Tiny, tiny terminal holes on the 400W dimmer modules makes wiring up 2-way a bit more fiddley than it should be. More jobs using Scolmore coming up, so I'll see how it goes...
