The last week and a half on a difficult house rewire (loads of furniture, old carpets, led pipes, bad plumbing, loads and loads of boxes to move) the lady of the house has been great, making the both of us teas and coffees on request + biscuits and chocolate bars!

Today she wasn't feeling too well so I said I'll make the bews myself. I found the coffee and tea bags but I had to look for the sugar. Cupboard above the kettle an old jar, looks like suger so I put two spoons in my cup (you know what's coming next) Yes it was SALT. The look and laughter on my gaffers face was a picture, the same as mine whilst coughing up coffee in the drain outside. No more tea making for me.

Has anyone had a bad coffee experience on here? That was mine today, tell us yours.

Little joke for you Paul,
A man went to his psychiatrist and said, "Every time I drink my coffee, I get a stabbing pain in my right eye," the psychiatrist said, "well, have you tried taking the spoon out?" :)

Had a coffee in a customers once that tasted a bit iffy. Took it outside and poured it down the drain to find a beard growing in the bottom of the mug.

I know it ain't a coffee story but l once asked a customer if l could have a glass of water, and with her being an pensioner, l offered to get it myself to save her the trouble and was gulping it down.

Straight away she started laughing before then informing me that the glass l was using was the one she kept her false teeth in...

I hope her bathroom lights didn't work after you left? They wouldn't have done if I was working in there.

Sounds similar to the sketch off Only Fools and Horses when the uncle made the gravy with coffee and the coffee with gravy.

Again not strictly coffee related but I once had a job as assistant manager in a bar. The manager was a complete leatherman - if he did manage to pull his finger out and do some work he'd usually mess it up.

Anyway I went in for a pint on my night off and he proudly told me he'd done all the washing up himself. I went to hang my coat up and on my way past sure enough there was a rack full of washed plates on the kitchen drainer. Next to it was the scrubbing brush used to clean the urinal.

Great memories there Tel (had forgottten about them martians)gotta laugh everytime I have seen it :D

My coffee moment was

Arrived in portugal on holiday
Went down supermarket to stock up
Mrs peeled the potatoes and hotted up the chip pan of washing up liquid

A good one to do if any of your oppos drink black coffee (I ask you) is warm up some coca cola and put it in their cup. It's not paticularly unpleasant, but the difference between what they were expecting and what they got is always enough to make them pull an hilarious face.
