So i just got a apprentaship today with a small firm looking to expand all ready and i get a letter saying all my college tutors have resigned and my course has been ended now i cant do my apprenticeship today has been totally *$#%

Yeah they said theyll take me on just means ill ave to wait another year to start level 1 i was going to save up £2000 and do a intensitive corse or night but i have to be 18+ im so annoid i feel let down they wont even help me get into a new college just want to sweep me away

mate where there's a will there's a way...surely there must be some other college in your area offering this course even if its a bit further away..DO NOT WAIT ONE YEAR PLEASE. your young mate and your in london like me believe me theres lots of colleges around

Iv just applied to 3 colleges but iv got to compete with the other 20 people in my class for these spots hopefuly i should have a better chance as iv been offered a apprenticeship and would only need 1 day a week fingers crossed

when u say applied did you go there and personally speak to the electrical head

Yeah sorry to hear that Joe, but Try and stay positive. Also look at it a different way god forbid you can't get in till next year at least if this firm is willing to take you now at least by the time college comes you will have a years onsite experience under your belt and therefore streets ahead of your classmates.

If after trying everywhere (bearing in mind colleges will take people on for most of the year anyway) you still can't during your year waiting, read your books, then as well as the on site experience you'll be getting, when you DO go to college the theory will be easy too.

My second year, all new tutors since all the ones from last year quit, turns out we were taught theory bad last year, so we've got a bad year ahead of us too
