college question help

Hi I was wondering if someone could help me, I need to know roughly how many meters of 2.5mm twin and earth and. 1.0mm twin and earth would it take to do a 12 room house ( this is all rooms in the house ) thanks

all depewnds on what is being fitted. e.g. if all rooms are having downlights in the ceilings, it will use twice as much 1.5. ( 1,0 ) as if they had centre lights.

I think we should invoke the old rule, ie you have to have a go at the question first and show all working out before we help.

It'll only take 1 Meter for the house.

But it will take a few hundred metres to wire it.

When i done my college we had to do 6 assignments if i can remember rightly,with no help,no forum back then just good old fashioned books,other sparks who didnt mind helping a bit and a library,it took on average 20-30 hrs per assignment then you got it marked,given back and had to start over again because you had not given a full depth answer!!!good old days,oh and no multiple choice answers.The new c&g stuff is a walk in the park compared to the 2360 so im told,but it still requires effort and understanding.Have a go at the task yourself as mentioned and then lots on here will help point you in the right direction if wrong,best to have a go first.

I would think about double what a 6 room house would require and just a little more than a 10 room house I think!

If it was a chain then you might be bowled over with wiring up something akin to a dolls house or maybe a furlong in which you'd need a horse and cart to get the wiring around the site
