Believe mate, the colleges are terrified of being sued now just like almost every other organisation. The H&S rules are pretty stupid, PPE is supposed to be a last resort when hazards cannot be removed but a lot rely on it.
Take it or you'll miss out. My son didn't believe me when I told him and had to sit in the refectory while the rest of the lads got the tour.

Best colouring pencils you can get my first set where a bit of a state so got another set as the tips never snap and you get a nice case to carry them in.

Oooo also I got a 24 set from staples with a little case for £3 I reckon they should do for now
