could anyone tell me the distance a detector has to be from a wall or fitting in a domestic turned commercial premises. I know it over 300mm for domestic but think it should be more
 
Thanks very much. I was at a job today where a so called niceic approved spark has mounted them as little as 360mm from the wall.

As said - 500mm minimum. There are also regulations regarding how close to lifts, light fittings, Air Con vents, shafts, ceiling obstructions.

500mm applies whether domestic or commercial - the detector cannot tell the difference!
