As the electric board installation people are being very unhelpful we will have to stick an earth rod in some reclaimed land on a harbour edge.
We are not expecting to find this easy and we have been considering digging a hole, infilling it with that conductive soil stuff you can get and putting a rod in that.
But we can't remember the name of the conductive soil or where to get it from - have found Marconite for making conductive concreate but thats not what we were looking for.
Any ideas?
The existing reclaimed land is all tarmac and concrete on rubble infill. If we thought we could get a rod to go deep enough to hit the water table we would be happy, but we think we will hit big lumps of stone at a shallow depth.
Will have to TT it as it will be used as a supply to a pontoon and the electric board will only fit a TNS supply to a 'solid structure' not an electric cabinet.
