Can anybody give me a reason why I can't install socket conduit installation horizontally to each socket once I've droped in from above to first socket? Will save me a hell of alot on conduit and also wiring......

can,t think of one unless customer objects for some strange reason,if I get a run like that in a workshop or the like I always wire like that, and easier if they want more sockets.

Other than aesthetics, none.

None as far as i know!!

Depends on the environment your installing your conduit in, ie subject to mechanical/physical damage. Or, if it has been stipulated in the specifications, that all socket outlets are to be dropped from a high level trunking or conduit run....
Otherwise i can't see any problems!! ...Why do you ask??

The only restrictions i can think of, is if this is a larger ''specified'' job, or there is a contract drawing, that is showing the conduit/trunking route(s) and heights. If there is such a spec and/or drawing(s) then you would need a change/variation order signed by the whoever is responsible for the overall installation....
