Hi Guys,

My friend had a report done by a niceic sparky a couple of weeks ago and he noted that the installation was very poor. He did all the usual checks and claimed that the ring mains had too many sockets on it? I take it by this he mean't spurs of the ring which can be sorted, however I had a word with the previous owner who I know well to give him a dressing down about the work he'd had done, but when checked it was done properly with all tests but it looks like the NICEIC chap who tested it failed to notice a second DB that had been installed which could explain the results. Not sure how to progress with this as the NICEIC chap doesn't seem very competent as the majority of tests were left blank and he hadn't labelled the DB to test it etc and his writing was that of a 5 year old.....what do you think work getting him back in or act on his report?

Well it wasnt like that when I tested it!

I have seen some really terrible PIR, however it is all to easy to critisize someone elses work.

Just go through it with the customer and put it right, dont want to start falling out with other local sparks!

I am actually redoing a PIR for someone who has had one done that I would not wipe my bottom with, the spark was obviously incompetent and after lots of remedial work THAT WAS NOT NEEDED

If you near the midlands way may have been talking about the same sparky!! Honestly just even going by his writing I'd be suprised if he passed gcse English
