installed a secondary 2 way consumer unit to run a boiler and immersion heater i know i have to issue an eic but what do i actually test? r1 + r2 of the radial to the secondary consumer unit and both radials from the secondary consumer? please can someone give me a rundown of what id need to test?

You will need to perform all the tests required to complete the fields on the EIC. Methods for performing these tests are described on your On-Site Guide.
If you have installed new circuits in a domestic property this is notifiable work under the Part P of the Building Regulations and you are required to notify the Local Authority Building Control.
I assume you are not able to self-certify the work so can expect to pay them for the privilege of inspecting it for you.

Have 2 schedules of test results one for the first CU showing your new circuit to the 2 way CU and the other schedule showing the new circuits on the CU that you installed. 1 inspection sheet and all the other details needed. All tests required apart from ring continuity if you have no ring finals

yes i know you have to contact building control you ever tried talking to newham building control? they dont even know what they are doing. ive got 2391 and 2392 but get told all different things some people saying you have to re test the whole board even the old circuits which i didnt think was right i just thought it was the new circuits your installing you had to test

Your description of works on the EIC is what you need to do ..

So something like ..... Install new circuit number ?? And install 2nd fuseboard and new circuits for .....

You have to ensure earthing and bonding are up to spec, plus your circuits must comply with the latest regs.

On your schedule of results for the existing board, I would use state "used" for existing circuits, and spare for any unused.

The Certsure on-line certification, uses the phrase 'NOT WOKED ON' for those circuits, not worked on! Succinct and to the point.

It's R1+R2, r1,r2and rn are end to end resistances.
