Connecting 1930s steel conduit to new CU

Has anyone got experience terminating steel conduit from 1935 (so likely imperial measurements) into a new metal enclosure? This was the work of the previous electrician to touch the board and I'd like to get a far better fixing this time around. No chance of a re-wire and the IR readings are all good.

In those examples, just remove the female Bush and fit a standard BSCon locknut, then refit the Bush.

Just looks like 3/4 and 5/8 BSCon to me, locknuts are available.

(I would either fit extra washers on the 5/8 - or drill a proper size hole and re-locate if at all possible) just knocking out a 20mm and banging a 16mm (5/8") in there really annoys me!

As above make the correct sized entries. In those days two locknuts were fitted, internal and external and tightened on each other then a female bush fitted or just the external locknut tightened back onto the female bush. Both gave very good connections.
