I am looking to run a connection to a garden shed that is 25 metres from the house. This would be for lighting and a single 13 amp socket.
Rather than have it permanently wired into a house circuit, the plan is to take power via a 13amp plug that is plugged into an existing external 13 amp socket at the back of the house. The 13A plug lead would go to a junction box close by where it would meet with a SWA cable running underground to the shed.

The question I have is..... how would this arrangement be classified should an EICR be carried out in future?

Theoretically it would be outside the scope of an EICR but there is no guarantee someone would not include it. If it is your property you can instruct the person testing it not to include it.
