Connectors in plastic adaptable box

I regularly use Wago TopJob DIN rail connectors for CU replacements, if the cables need extending.

As a slight twist on the metal consumer unit debate, how many of you will be happy to fit connectors (DIN rail or otherwise) in a plastic adaptable box to extend cables when installing a metal-clad consumer unit? It doesn't seem to fall into the category of "consumer units and similar switchgear assemblies", and if we need a metal enclosure here, where do we stop? Cooker and shower isolators next?

Of course, there's a vast difference between the "vibration proof, maintenance free" TopJob connectors and some cheap, poorly installed connector block.

Correct, so the new reg doesn't apply.

If the connector terminals are correctly tightened, the box could be made of marshmallow and still not pose a fire risk.
