It would be interesting to see more publications in the public domain on electrical fire stats, shocks, incident learnings ect..

The general awareness of electrical safety in domestic and commercial premises is poor, it won't change unless end users understand the risk.

one of our callouts other week was to communal light fitting, tenant reported they had tried to change something to make it work and recieved a shock so thought there was a fault (lights were off due to it being daylight so photocell not switched) but he obviously thought the red cable of the old 3core colours was switched live.

light fitting was goosed but he should have just left it alone lol
