Hello,
Just a quick one hopefully. I had a job to test and the board was mounted off the wall by 2 battons of wood, so the back of the board would be about 2 inches from the wall. They have knocked out the 2 rear knockouts on the Wylex board which is an massive for the 8 cables going into the board. Can anyone tell me what the IP rating should be for the rear of a consumer unit if its mounted off the wall, was tempted to treat it the same as the top of the board but not sure if I am being a bit harsh.

Any thoughts welcome

What size hole? And imagine if it was on the side of the board. Similar vertical plane.

Use another 2 battens to fill in the top and bottom, making a frame of wood rather than just 2 sides.
Oh its a square knock out on the board, proably about 75 mm x 100 mm each. Boxing it in is a great idea I think that the plan.
