Hi there folks,
Have been using BG boxes for years, now getting fed up with all these knockouts at wrong size for 3rd ed glands.
Have complained to BG but they dont reply, started back with MK but their just the same !. Have any of you complained to these Mfg to get their knockouts at the right size so we dont have to modify ?.
Also found the BG High Integ Units difficult to fit RCBO's, cable too short and mains bus too small for connections.

I find some of the knockouts for the metal equipment difficult to punch out especially not wanting to deform the casing. Perhaps I need more practice!
Or as Tel will say “you need a bigger hammer”!

Yes some of them can be a bit stubborn can't they. Punch + hammer + one hard hit usually works for me most of the time.

I keep forgetting to get me a couple of Q punches of different sizes, great for ‘busy’ trunking but nothing wrong with a ‘rag’a’lag’ noisy holesaw when empty consumer unit.
