contactor photocell time clock.

hello all, I am just wondering what connections are what when connecting a contactor timer and photocell together, I don't need to know at the photocell end, just at the board end with the time clock and contactor, so I have 3 feeds from 3 different lighting circuits, and a 3 core and earth (1.5). I am just abit stumped on what goes where as its the first time I have done since I have been an electrician, everyone's help will be highly appreciated, I shall put a picture of the contactor up and of the wiring diagram of the time clock up shortly , thank you.

Feed the photo cell then timer then contactor

It would depend how the customer wanted the strategy to work? Also feed the timeclock with a permanent supply, not switched from photocell (you'll lose the time/settings otherwise).

Until the OP tells us the types of photo cell, timer and contactor used this is a waste of time.

A1 too A2 and all that stoooof . Foget photocell and put time clock in accessible place, that's what I did . Time clock , contactor , lights



would you need photocell if using time clock?

Photo cell is used so you don't have to keep changing the on time for lights when the nights draw in and out, like now

Cheeper to buy a photocell and time clock. It's how I've set all the light on sights I look after now, the photocell overrides the timeclock, so the minimum lux level is still kept.

My boss wouldn't buy a photocell, so muggins here has to get the steps out every couple of weeks to adjust the timer

How tights your boss! There less than £20, on a large lighting circuit it'll save the company what it costs in little to no time.
