hi wiring up this single phase contactor for lights which are wired in 3 core, I presume they just terminate Brown 2T1 and Blue 6T3 cheers never has experience with a contactor before and earth to earth bar

The terminal numbers indicate the contact functions. L1, L2, L3 are the line side and T1, T2, T3 are the load side of the 3-pole main load circuit contacts, as per NEMA coding. 1,3,5 and 2,4,6 are the equivalents using the IEC coding scheme.
So provided the circuit going in on L1 & L3 is the lighting supply and has the necessary protection upstream of the contactor, then the luminaires connect to T1 & T3.
