what size contactor (delta) do i need to run a 15kw 3 phase motor 24 v coil pls

Not quite understanding your question. Is this a new circuit? Are you after a contactor for a DOL starter or something?

As above ^^ are you asking what size for a DOL motor wired in a delta config' or for one of the 3 contactors that is in a Star/Delta arrangement.
Shall we assume the motor is a standard squirrel cage induction motor!

This is an existing circuit with 3 contactors to start and run the motor (soft start). The delta contactor has burnt out (AC3 10 Amp) therefore my calculations for a 15 Kw motor suggest the contactor is operating at its maximum and as it has burnt out before (im being told) I will suggest a higher rated AC3 contactor. The question was initially submitted to just see if any other person had come across these conditions. Cheers

Have you details of existing star, delta and main contactors? Are you sure failure was due to wrong contactor? If supplied with control gear,it was probably selected to suit...Have other aspects of machine been tested? As per Yoda, information wanting more of we are...

The guy clearly doesn’t know what he’s doing.

My holistic helmet is away for recalibration so I’ll leave it to the rest of you to carry on.

In the OPs defence Tony, I'm the first one to mention DOL starter.

OP: Give us more info and we should be able to help. 10A looks low.
Who designed this starter?
What does the info on the motor plate say?
What type of motor is it and what is it operating?
Pics would be great of existing set-up and motor plate.

Could always google Star-Delta starters and check out what contacts they use for a 15kW motor.

You only need to switch the lines and the contactor is rated per pole so for example a 16A four pole contactor would be fine.
