I have recently purchased a used three phase oven in good working order. The control circuit is 220 v and is supplied from one of the phases and a neutral direct from the mains board.
I have been advised that for, safety reasons a 440v/220v transformer would have to be installed instead.
Is this correct,?
there is only one contacter and 2 relays in the control circuit.

I can’t see anything wrong with the current setup.
A control transformer could be used and would be needed if a N was not available but is not a requirement if a N is available.

With anything like this, I would ask the person to point out the relevant legislation or reg. number in the wiring regulations.

Most arguments tend to stop at that point!
