We have garden lights fed from a standard consumer unit via SWA cable which we want to convert to low voltage keeping the existing lamp holders but switching to LED lamps.

The plan would be to switch out the existing consumer unit to one containing a transformer adequate to drive all the lamps together with sufficient tappings to allow the circuits - 5 or 6 - to be separated.

I've looked online but can't find any appropriate products nor can I find a detailed guide on how to go about this. Can anyone point me in the right directions?

What lamp holders are in place at the moment?

Some are wired into junction boxes and others are lamp standards. They all are mains rated at 220/240v. My plan was to keep the existing fittings but replace the lamps with low voltage. I was hoping to use the existing SWA wiring coming from the Consumer Unit in the garage to pull through low voltage wiring suitable for outdoor use under the path to avoid digging it up. I'd then run the low voltage wire in corrugated plastic conduit loose laid on the garden surface to the various lights. I'd hoped to find a replacement consumer unit that included a suitable transformer.

if you already have mains light fittings, then why not change the lamps to mains LED?
if you want low voltage led lamps, you will have to change the bases of the lamps.
