Hi guys, ive just run in a new circuit for a 11,5kW cooker with 6mm T & E which has a gas hob.

Q. Can I use normal grey 6mm T&E from the cooker to the outlet plate or does it need to be heat resistant cable, cause I cant find any heat resistant cable that size in the TLC catalouge?

Thanks

Most are done with normal 6242Y twin & earth but for a belt and braces approach, you can use 3183TQ 4mm (heat resistant flex) depending on the protective device.

Well if it's a diverse load (say 4 elements individually controlled) as opposed to the whole load being just on or off then you can justify the application of some diversity.
