Cooker hood lights/fan blown

My mate's wife sprayed cleaning fluid into the front of the cooker hood and now the lights and fan don't work. Nothing has tripped in the CCU. Any thoughts on what's happened? Not much experience with cooker hoods. Thanks

Thanks for that. I remember seeing a White flex poking out behind the cooker hood. I'll have a look tomorrow.

Is this something a sparkie would mess with then? Or a cooker/appliance specialist?

Let your local spark take a look, he / she should point you in the right direction

i've repaired a few with burnt tracks on the pcb. an appliance eng. will probably insist on fitting a new pcb or a new cooker hood. it may be that it's taken out the fuse in the fcu and will be ok when dried out.

the dangers of letting a woman anywhere near anything electrical/electronic ! ( female electricians excepted )
